Why Uttarkashi for a honeymoon

Most hill-station honeymoons mean crowded malls and traffic. Uttarkashi is different: a quiet river town in the Garhwal Himalayas, with apple valleys, forest lakes and snow peaks within a few hours. It suits couples who want slow mornings, long walks and time together.

A 4-night couple itinerary

Day 1: Arrive and unwind

Check in to a river-facing room, rest after the drive, and take an evening walk on the riverside lawns.

Day 2: Nachiketa Tal and town

Morning trip to Nachiketa Tal, a quiet forest lake. Evening aarti at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

Day 3: Harsil Valley

A full day in Harsil: apple orchards, deodar forest and the river flats. Stop at Gangnani hot springs on the way.

Day 4: Slow day

Morning yoga by the river, an Ayurvedic massage in our wellness room, and a lazy afternoon in the garden.

Day 5: Depart

Breakfast and the drive home, or continue to Gangotri for blessings.
